    Hi Dr. DeLivera,

I have looked back on posts regarding infant reflux and I have been following your default protocol for a week now. My son is 8 weeks old. The Nat Phos x6 has helped somewhat. He still spits up with most feedings. He nurses every 1-1.5 hrs, so there are feedings where he does not have the Nat Phos x 6 as not to exceed 6 tabs a day. Sometimes He is visibly uncomfortable before he spits up and sometimes it does not bother him. He is extremely gassy as well. He still wakes up a couple times a day screaming because of the reflux. He constantly is arching his back even he is happy. It seems to be more comfortable to him. He goes through fussy spells pulling on and off the breast. The Nat Pho’s 6 has seemed to help reduce hiccups and number of spit ups. Night time seems worse, because he is not getting the tabs since it would exceed the dosage you recommend. Is there something else I can give him that will help him further? I am burping him immediately after feeds and keeping him upright for about 20 minutes after. I have eliminated common foods that can irritate him. I burp him mid feed as well.
    Thank you for your time

Glad to note that you located my Website and followed my therapy for Baby GERD which your son presents . It is not usual to do so at his tender age and I would like to know if you have observed the following conditions which I have perfected throughout the past 25 years of treating hundreds of babies:

Have you got the Nat Phos 6x Biochemic Cell Salt in tablet form? You will see the details on the label.
Did you give him the Nat Phos 6x tablet divided into two, half before a feed and the balance immediately after
      Are you overfeeding him?

      Where do you live?

  2. Bridget says:

    Hi Dr DeLivera,
Yes, the Nat Phos 6x is tablet form. It is Hylands brand. I am dividing the tablet in two, giving half before the feed and the remaining after. I am also taking two tablet after my 3 main meals of the the day. I think he could be overeating—he has put on weight very fast. I should note that I have a forceful milk letdown which is a problem for him as well and not helping his reflux symptoms.
    I am in California.
    Thank you

The solution to your problem lies in your own hands.

        Dr DeLivera,
I was a little perplexed by your response. I assume it refers to overfeeding. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I have tried reducing his feedings, but the reflux persists. I’m still giving him nat pho 6x — half tab before a feed and the remaining after the feed. He still has wet burps, hiccups, occasional coughing/gagging. Fussiness- popping on and off the breast. Arching his back constantly. He spits up with almost every feed, sometimes multiple times. Sometimes it’s watery and sometimes it’s thick. His pediatrician wants to prescribe an antacid. Is there something else I can give him that will help? I just want to get him some relief. Thank you for your help.

        • Joe says:

It is very likely that you are overfeeding your baby and it would be better to reduce your feeding quantity and the frequency to observe his response.

Pediatricians will prescribe the dangerous PPI drugs as this is the line of least resistance and the results are almost immediate, but you will soon discover that the dosage prescribed will be increased as these drugs lose their efficacy in a few days and the doctor continues to increase the dosage to keep baby happy, usually with disastrous effects

Suggest you follow my instructions in reducing the quantity you feed him and I shall instruct you how to proceed after observing his respons

Dr Joe. I went to the endrconologist and the tests she gave me said I am hypoglycemic and must eat every 2 hours to keep blood sugar levels stable. She also found low thyroid and gave me Synthoid for that.she also wants me to take a 24 urine test to check metanephrine levels because of my complaint of heat intolerance. Even in cold weather. My adrenals are shot due to the stress I have been under all my life. If she had investigated my history this test would not be recommended in my opinon. I was an orphan my mother abandoned me and put me in the hands of a sociopathic pedophile who beat me and abused me sexually, emotionally and every way imaginable. I was under constant threat for my life and well being when I grew up I got a grant from government for my education and became a teacher so you see I was emotionally scared and the stress affected me tremendously of coursse my body had the results of this abandonment despair and neglect. So I can tell one what happened to my adrenal glands…the anxiety is understandable.

Thank you Dr Joe for your kind help…..Carol Murphy

I sought acid reflux advice from you back in October for my infant son. He is now almost 7 mos and in horrible teething pain. I’ve tried amber teething bracelet, Hyland’s teething tablets, frozen teething rings, homeopathic oils for his gums with no success outside of infants motrin. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you

You can give baby Chamomilla 30c in the Wet dose 3 times daily. This remedy will hopefully ease the pain.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Please DO NOT REPEAT your posts as I see that you have done so 3 times over.

Thank you, sorry i posted in another forum on a previous month by accident so once I realized, I then reposted in march. Thanks for the remedy. I did try Camilia by Boiron and it has chamomilla 9c in it. That didn’t work. I will try your recommendation. Thank you.

      • Yona says:

Update: chamomilla worked very well only when dose isn’t highly diluted (dissolved in 5 ml breastmilk) but he gets hiccups lasting sometimes 30 mins to one hour following the dosage. If i give him the diluted dosage from the 16 oz water bottle, he still is teething uncomfortably. Should i use 8oz water instead?

    Dear Sir,
Hope your well. Its been quite sometime I contacted you. My student is 15 years old. She is currently giving her board exams. She has a problem. She despite studying well underperforms in her exams. In an examination hall she doesnt read the question fully and starts answering before fully understanding the question. Also she unwillingly chooses a harder question instead of a easier one. She is very impatient in nature and gets excited easily.
Is there any medicine which can be given to her? Her next exam is on 13th of March.

I’m writing this down on behalf of my friend.
He has immense pain in his left abdomen along with pain on the sole of the foot, he got an ultrasound done and a 3mm calculus was found in left kidney at left midpole. (He has a family history of stone too)

Therafter, the pain shifted to the right abdomen like a pricking pin and the foot pain continued, the pain was as if the foot arch is placed on a stone.

7-8 days later, a CT scan was done, which didn’t report any calculus but calcified lymph nodes were present. His uric acid levels have been on the higher side, after medication they are a notch above the borderline now.

I would request you to let me mail the reports to you for better diagnosis and your valuable treatment.
